FOR REGULAR DOWNRIGGER USE: Attach ring end of the RC-95 release clip to the snap swivel of the downrigger. Then hook the weight to the snap end of the release clip
SLIDERS: Cut off the attaching wire of the RC-95 release clip and discard. Thread a crimp sleeve or other stopper on the downrigger line and secure it as far above the weight as you wish to fish the second fishing line. Then thread the release clip on the downrigger line as shown in DIA. 2. Replace the lower clip and weight. When you attach your fishing line to the slider clip and tighten up on the fishing line, the clip will come up the downrigger line stopping at your pre-set stopper.
STACKING: Thread as many clips as you can use on the downrigger line, as described above, but do not use any stopper. When lowering your downrigger weight, hold the clips that have been threaded on the downrigger line and, in turn, attach your fishing line in the clip. Secure the clip in place on the downrigger line as follows: With a common round toothpick, push it into the hole the downrigger cable is threaded through. This will wedge the clip in place as shown in DIA. 3p.
ATTACHING FISHING LINE TO CLIP: Let your lure back as far as it is to be fished. Bend your fishing line around your finger then make 4 or more twists in the fishing line. Slide the loop off your finger putting the loop around the release arm of the clip. Close the arm in the clip and set to desired tension using the tension adjusting screw.
