Purpose built for a range of light jigging applications. The Blue Backer range takes in-shore rods for light jigging to the next level by integrating some of Daiwa’s key technologies to provide anglers with maximum value and performance.

HVF technology combines precise resin control with unidirectional graphite fibre to produce a blank with maximum graphite density and a light responsive action. Performance is further enhanced courtesy of X45, by eliminating twist and preventing the blank from losing its round form, X45 allows a lighter a small diameter blank to be made, and lighter more dynamic rod to be created.
Featuring quality Fuji componentry and high-density EVA grips, the Blue Backer is designed with a range of technique specific actions that are ideal for lure fishing applications.

Daiwa Exceler 4000CXH
A smartly priced reel that can match the performance of many more expensive models. The Carbon Light Material Housing was designed with the LT concept of light but tough, in mind. The carbon-based material is light yet very strong making the reel easy to manage over the long haul. A machined aluminum handle is a comfortable, strong connection to the main gear of the spinning reel. The Air Rotor and Air Bail designs reduce the weight, yet efficiently disperse the pressure of the line over the bail to the whole part.
